The big WHY?
Our story is one of social impact, empowerment, and sustainability, and it's a story that is sure to inspire and excite customers who are passionate about making a positive difference in the world.
Chila Bags journey began with a chance encounter between Laura Chica a Colombian fashion designer and a Wayuu artisan. Laura was struck by the beauty and intricacy of the Wayuu weaving techniques and recognized the potential for collaboration that could empower the indigenous communities.
From that moment on, Chila Bags was born, and it has since grown into a brand that is dedicated to promoting sustainable fashion practices, supporting traditional artisans, and preserving cultural heritage.
At the heart of our mission is a commitment to social responsibility. By partnering directly with Wayuu artisans, we provides them with a fair source of income, allowing them to support themselves and their families. Chila Bags also uses eco-friendly materials and sustainable production practices, minimizing their environmental impact.
By collaborating with Chila Bags, customers can not only purchase beautifully handcrafted, one-of-a-kind bags but also be a part of a movement that is making a positive impact on indigenous communities and promoting sustainable fashion practices.
Join us on our journey towards a more sustainable and equitable future, one beautiful handcrafted bag at a time.
